Donna Drew Sawyer is a New Yorker first and foremost, Harlem born and bred. As luck would have it, she currently resides in the Baltimore, Maryland Arts District. She spent more than 30 years as an advertising executive for Big Bird, Elmo and the gang on Sesame Street and more recently served as a senior administrator on a variety of national art organizations including: the Chrysler Museum of Art, the Arts and Science Council and the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. Provenance is Donna’s first novel and her first attempt at writing to attract an audience for herself. Her second novel, Promises, continues the saga of the 1st novel and is scheduled for publication in 2017.
